Ruth Israel

Ruth Israel is a Denver-based artist, illustrator and singer.

Ruth creates illustrative fine art for private collectors, businesses, advertisers, and design studios. She works primarily in the traditional mediums of oil paint, acrylic paint, chalk pastel, graphite, and sculpey; her digital art is created in Photoshop and Illustrator CS6. 161Her background is in Illustration (BFA from the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design) and in her lifelong love for studying and practicing a variety of visual and performing arts.

In every piece, Ruth strives to create something meaningful. It is evident in her art that she is thoughtful, careful, and highly self-evaluative, always trying to refine her skills. Her pieces often feature people, animals, still life, nature, and anatomically themed art. Focusing on practiced technique, craftsmanship, and design, she tries to approach a variety of subjects in a way that is eye-catching, relevant, and soulful.
